i know theres 512, 1mb and 2mb connections around, but what determines the speed? is it kit/adsl tariff, or is it ISP tariff. ie - i get btbroadband 500 plug & go, can i then use a 1mb tariff supplied by xxxx ISP? -- tim if i wanted to hear from an asshole, i`d fart!

I am looking for a 1mbit service for the home, I have heard of Internet Central, fast24 and Bulldog... I have also heard Zen may be introducing it...
