Thinking of AOL by Cadbury's Finest
I'm thinking about switching to AOL. I was with them years ago on dial-up and found them reliable - which was probably just as well, given their poor technical support. What are they like as an ADSL provider? Also, the one thing that infuriated me about them was their failure to offer a 'real' POP 3 email service (I have some vague memories of a hack that used to allow this)

Mobile Modems by Geoff Lane
T-Mobile and 3 Network are both offering high speed broadband access via a modem, both require some form of contract. Anyone know how these modems work, is there a sim card (Or similar) inside and if after the contract ends one doesn't stay with the company do you end up with a £100 doorstop or can it be used with another company. Official - VM takes the top spot by Carl Waring
http://www.broadbandchoices.co.uk/virgin-media-takes-the-top-spot-061107.html The Cable broadband provider...improved its speed by 4.6 per cent over the past month. Virgin Media customer's enjoyed an average of 52.1 per cent of their advertised top speed last month. Good morning. I subscribed to this group yesterday because I was having a specific problem with my setup - see elsewhere - in the hope that here I might find some people with more knowledge than I had. Well so far one or two have responded and for that I thank them. However on scanning through the remainder of the threads, it has become fairly obvious that the vast majority of people here...

Easily broken mail forwarding... by Jim Jackson
For sometime now I've been using easily.co.uk for registering domains and forwarding email and web. However it appears they have a global blacklist of words that cause email to be rejected at their servers. This has caused me problems on some email lists where the reject has caused me to be suspended from list membership. Easily off the facility to disable spam checking, but it has no effect...
