Utility Warehouse 'pig' and ADSL by Joe Butler
Can someone confirm that the 'pig' device supplied by Utility Warehouse is compatible with ADSL. I.e. we wish to take our ADSL from a supplier other than Utility Warehouse and continue to use the 'pig' to route calls as normal over out BT line. I would expect it to be fully compatible with ADSL, but need to confirm this for someone else. Thanks.

FairBroadband by Hellothere
I am using FairBroadband because of their Parental Control service which cuts off access to X-rated sites at the source. This means http://www.fairbroadband.co.uk switch off x-rated sites and my teenage kids have no chance to view these sites, even if they are home alone or in their own bedrooms. I have tried all the other parental control software offers, but my kids know how to uninstall...

Orange Broadband by Dan
Some of you may see my post before entitled Orange Broadband Weirdness I have been chasing Orange for 5 days now, each day they are admitting there is a line fault at their end, and have asked me to call them each day for a report and each day I have been told the same thing. When I called today, they said there is a "Serious" line fault, and my problem would be resolved in 5 days!

A Confusing Line Issue by naza
My problem has been solved sort of but i am not sure how. About 2 weeks ago my line pickup a crackling sound and this affected the broadband so that i could not get more that 416kbps with SNR figures which suggested otherwise. I never got round to reporting it to bt untuil yesterday. Then I done all the checks again and it turns out that maybe a corless phone may be the problem. BT closed...

Orange Broadband Weirdness by tenbenson@gmail.com
I am using the Speedtouch USB modem to connect to my Orange Broadband Starter Package. No more problems that one would expect with Orange! But I have the strangest situation, I can not see 99% of websites. Google works, Gmail works (with new emails in inbox) and I have downloaded a song from Limewire and with no problems. But if I try to go into say ebay or yahoo its just hangs and times...

Multicast streams launched? by DAB sounds worse than FM
It looks like the BBC has (very quietly) launched multicast streams for its radio stations and a few commercial radio stations: http://www.bbc.co.uk/multicast/radio/index.shtml but only to the following participating ISPs: # JANET # InterVivo # clara.net

Unfaithful wife? by MGC
Remember, the shower is a very dangerous place where accidents often happen. So, with that in mind, your unfaithful wife may just happen to 'slip' in there and suffer a fatal head injury... The stairs too are a dangerous place. So make sure no objects are left at the top of, or on them. You wouldn't want your unfaithful wife to 'fall' and break her neck killing her instantly, would you?

Fed up with UKFSN EMail going down again. What can we do to get reliable email facility? by Tina
UKFSN email seems to be going down almost weekly these days. Never any outage notices until long after the event has been resolved and generally rubbish, even their support emails often bounce!! It's quite clear we need to get shot of them for email, so what can we do to get an ultra reliable email service as cheap as possible? As I understand it if we get our own domain this will include...

Sitelutions disgusting support by Inigo G.
Please be warned that I received an email from Inigo G at Sitelutions (Inforelay). Inigo has been less than professional lately when it comes to concerns expressed by customers of sitelutions. Tonight was the bottom of the barrel. Inigo G. sent me a photograph of a child engaged in a sexual act. I dont know if this was Inigo's child or not but I am disgusted with this. Is this how...

Binatone ADSL500 USB modem (supplied by Plusnet) by Eeyore
I had this installed on a PC with W98SE and it worked fine. Trying to install it on a PC with XP the other day proved unsuccessful. Binatone's site has no record of it any more. Plusnet's site has a link to drivers but it's dead. Googling also provided dead ends too. Any advice ? Graham

Hi According to the BT speed tester my IP profile is 6000 kbps even though my router has been synching rock solid at 9848 kbit/sec for well over a week (see data below). Shouldn't the IP Profile be higher than this? Has some setting got stuck somewhere? BT Speed Test results:

Wireless router behind TV? by Dave
I'm trying to help a friend set up a wireless router but we keep losing the wireless connection. He's on Virgin Media Cable (ex-Telewest area) and the cable guys left him a cable modem (I think it's a Scientific Atlanta, but may be wrong) behind the TV in the living room at the front of the house - they wouldn't install it upstairs, which is where he really wanted it. Anyway, the main...
