| | Skype: Can you recommend a good headphone set an advise me? by
KarlB
Hi all,
I was going to go with BT Broadband Talk but I read a lot of good
things about Skype. Can you recommend a good headphone set?
Also I take it there is no way to use a regular phone with Skype. Is
that correct?
I have one person I currently telephone in the USA on a daily basis,
sometimes over 2 hours a day. I currently use call18866.co.uk, but even

| | Speedtouch 716 & 716WL with easypabx or pbxes by
Telephoneman
I've got a ST716 and a ST 716WL in 2 locations. I want to set up extensions
on either easypabx or pbxes but I can't get either one to work with the
built in voip ports. I can set up voip phones OK but that kinda misses the
point. I've had voipfone working so I know the boxes work.
Anyone had any experience with these combinations?
TIA

| | Preferred ATA to use with sipgate by
PajaP
What is peoples preferred ATA to use with the sipgate service?
I ordered a ZyXEL 2002L from Scan for 2 reason.
1) Scan had it, in stock, for £42.50 +vat which is the best price I
could find.
2) I already have a ZyXEL router and thought for compatibility I would
buy the same brand ATA.
Now scan have emailed me and said they do not really have it in stock!
I have cancelled the order.

| | Recommendations for dual line please by
ResidentDrunk
HI all,
Please could someone offer some recommendations as to the best way to
go forward (and if this is possible) ?.
I currently have 2 phone lines into my house, a BT home phone and an
NTL phone I use for business in my home office. I have a 10mb NTL BB
line (which I believe is 600k upstream).
I want to replace both phone lines with 2 fixed VOIP numbers, if

FNG
Hi all.
Question about this website:
http://www.teckno.net/ Based in Spain.
Seems like a fairly straightforward VoIP hardware seller, but the claim of
"FREE 'phone calls to landlines in 49 countries" on the homepage sounds too
good to be true.
Being an eternal pessimist, I'm asking myself where's the catch? I already

Wira One
I have Linksys PAP2 right now but it won't allow me from calling/receiving
calls through my land line (NTL). Currently I have two DECT sets at my
house but this is confusing to the children/wife. Most of the time they'll
use the NTL line rather than VOIP set. I'm thinking of buying a Zoom
VOIP ATA 5805 which has so-called Teleport port. Will I be able to
make/receive call through my land line...

| | SIP & D-link or BT Broadband Talk? by
Beds
Hi there,
I just signed up for Broadband Talk but has since discovered this group
and BT Broadband Talk don't get a good write-up.
I have also just discovered SIPphone and The D-Link 1402S, SIP adapter
and 4 port router. Now is this a better option than BT?
Here is what I want to do. My girlfriend lives in the USA and I in UK
and it is costing us a fortune in pahone calls (even on the lower web

| | Bluetooth headsets and dongles - need recommendations by
Chris
Thinking of using VOIP - and Bluetooth seems the only practical way to
go - in that you can walk around and make a coffee while chatting - just
as if it was an ordinary phone.
Are all dongles equal? Or are some to be preferred?
And what about Bluetooth headsets?
Any preferred makes or models?

| | Fujitsu FDX-840: is SIP possible? by
alexd
As per the subject. I've seen mutterings on the internet that these things
can be reflashed as a D-Link DVG-1120s http://voxilla.com/index.php?name=PNphpBB2&file=viewtopic&p=41586 ] but no
real clues as to likelihood of success. Also, I've seen ex-BT ones that are
locked; how possible is it to unlock them or re-flash them to get them to
do something sensible?
