| | VoIPCheap Query by
Iceman
Hi forum.
I am totally new to VoIP and SIP and need to ask some questions.
I have an account with voipcheap.co.uk and I have been using their PC
software for a few weeks now.
I wanted to be able to make and receive calls all the time without my PC
switched on so I replaced my USB modem with a Broadband router and
bought myself a SIP phone - its a Safecom SDSIP-3000.
I configured the phone with...

| | Source of RJ10 (not RJ11) extension leads or connectors by
linker3000
Hi folks,
I am trying to interface a Voice Active headset to a Safecom SDSIP-5000
phone (with headset socket) but it looks like the wiring needs some
tweaking so I am looking for a UK source of RJ10 (not RJ11) leads and
connectors so I can make up an adaptor - the ideal solution would be an
extension lead so I can re-use the cable-mounted socket with a short
cable tail and crimp on a new...

| | Confusing aah dial plan by
Jono
Would some kind sould help me modify the below Asterisk@home code?
I would like all calls to reach the NVFaxDetect application,
whether they have a blank CLID or not.
Then I would like any voice calls with a blank CLID to hear a system WAV
file ("The number you are calling does not accept annonymous calls. Please
redial using 0871XXXXXXX, or call back without withholding your number"),
whilst...

| | VoIPStunt Credit Expiry?? by
talk3g.co.uk
Just had a message from VoIPstunt that my ?10 credit is about to expire.
What will I loose when it does?
Will I still be able to call landlines for free?
If not I doubt if I'll bother with connecting a USB phone to my PC as I can
use their sister service on my normal landline (www.call18866.com) for 5p a
call for unlimited calls to UK landlines anytime. Not a huge issue but ?10 =
£7 which =...

Has anyone got one of these? Managed to find the administrator password, but
it's still not letting me into all the config options, like caller ID or
adding more than one VOIP service. Any ideas?
TIA. Mike.

| | Asterisk@Home DISA question by
paul123
Having unsuccesfully searched the AAH forums I thought I'd ask here as
there are a few regular asteriskers.
I've setup a DISA on AAH 2.8 using FreePBX so that I can phone into my
*box from my mobile and get a dialling tone and can then dial out using
a selection of voip providers. All works fine. Except.... I'd like,
after making a call over a voip trunk, to be able to stay connected to
* and...

| | Using two registries with Asterisk? by
Tinus
Hello all,
I'm faily new to Asterisk@Home. I've got the latest version up and running.
In the netherlands I've got from my service provider 2 voip numbers (e.g.
0878700000 and 0878700001). The gateway is sip.xs4all.nl.
All is working perfectly when I only register 1 number (e.g. 0878700000). I
can make outbound calls and inbound calls are comming thru. But now I want
to use my second...

| | Raid busy signal dialling out by
Lansbury
Just trying to install the Linksys SPA3000, ordered from Broadband Buyer at
4.50pm yesterday and here at 9.15 this morning.
When dialling out I get a rapid busy signal. Have followed the instructions on
my providers site but this hasn't solved the problem. (basically port
forwarding)
Any idea as to which setting I might have wrong which could cause this.

| | Some PAP2 questions by
Dave Saville
Hi
Just got an unlocked UK PAP2 and I have some questions:
1) There is noise/static on the line - even without the network connection.
Have tried both ports and corded and DECT phones. Google hints at some fix
using port two but unfortunately I only have one adapter thingy.
2) How the heck do you get the damn thing to get the time right? Have set the
NTP server addresses but it still thinks...

| | EasyPABX questions by
Brian A
I have been experimenting with various aspects of EasyPABX.
1. Currently I have my geo DID pointing at my VSP and registering the
SIP via EasyPABX (EP) just as though it was an ATA.
That works fine. However, I have need to point the DID directly at a
DDI on EP. I need to formulate the SIP address. I thought it might be
the DDI ID +underscore+my EP ID
eg.
Well, that...

| | VOIPBuster upgrade by
Brian
Since the automated upgrade to 2.10 build 336 (Monday), my call list has
been deleted, dialling now takes about 300ms and the program crashes
immediately after dialling. In other words, it is unusable. I have sent
e-mails to them but there is no response.
Has anyone else had a similar experience?

| | Mitel 5220 and Asterisk@Home by
alexd
Has anyone had any luck convincing one of these phones to stay registered
with Asterisk@Home? It will register OK on boot, but when the registration
expires and it needs to re-register, it fails to. It'll say in the web
interface:
200 retrying with 192.168.3.119
forever, and *NO REG* on the screen. It's easily fixed by clicking on
Re-Register in the web interface, or rebooting, but for a £150...

I've been using Freetalk for a few months now. Currently I have a
cable modem with a 4meg connection, connected to that is a Netgear
router and connected to the Netgear are 3 PCs, a Playstation 2 and my
freetalk box.
It has all been working fine, although I have noticed that when the
internet is being heavily used (p2p, large downloads, gaming, etc) the
quality of the voip drops a little...
