| | voip.co.uk by
Matt
Hi,
Still having problems with AAH 2.8 and voip.co.uk.
The current problem is that if I dial 121 (for voicemail) the system
dials up to v.c.uk as planned, but it never answers the call.
Their support desk told me it was a problem with codecs. I've tried a
few options, but no improvement!

| | Peering by
Lansbury
Is there a list somewhere of who peers with who.
I have tried searching quite of few of the UK VoIP providers but the
information just doesn't seem available. What I'm trying to find is someone
who peers with delta three (iconnecthere.com) in the USA so I can divert a UK
number to my US one over VoIP. Unfortunately iconnecthere no longer works with
a sip address, in fact they will not even...

| | Digidave cheap VOIP rouer updates by
Tim Morley
Original threads are now a long way back.
I am trying to establish how many people have purchased these and had
problems. I am still awaiting a refund from "digidave" for the replacement
box he sent me. A few people have also been in contact with me too, they
also could not get the piece of junk to work.
Digidave is also being less than honest with the reviews on his site; he
keeps deleting...

| | Small business voip + wifi by
Robert Hill
At work we have 2 separate bt accounts and 2 different numbers. All pcs are
linked by wifi. Only 1 computer utilises skype to talk to other commercial
users of skype, which is on the increase. We would like to keep existing tel
nos for incoming calls only, so utilising the existing Samsung system, but
have separate normal phones (approx 6) all linked into the wi fi system
utilising voip....

| | Grandstream via PC + wifi? by
Telephoneman
I had to move my ADSL wireless router/modem to the master socket in another
room to get a decent throughput. I'm now left with a Grandstream budge tone
100 sitting on my desk not connected to anything. My PC has a wireless card
and I was wondering if I could connect the phone via my PC using the
Ethernet socket. I have a UT-Starcomm wi-fi phone that I use for most calls
so it doesn't matter...

| | Routing Calls through PAP2 by
Don
Hi guys I am new to this so be kind to me! Looking for help if possible to
set up a Linksys PAP2 so that I can dial in from a cell phone to one of the
PAP2 numbers and then get a dial tone on the 2nd PAP2 number so I can route
my mobile calls through my VOIP account. Is this possible, or if not, anyone
know of any device that this can be done with. Thank You in Advance

| | Cheapest supplier of SPA-1001?...and operation with SPA-3000 by
Brian A
Unfortunately broadbandbuyer don't do the SPA-1001 any longer. The
price charged by other vendors is, in some cases, TWICE that of the US
price and that makes me think, even in rip off UK, that it is over
priced. There have been some offerings at decent prices but I didn't
jump in fast enough and now they have gone. Anyone know of a good
source?
I assume that my idea will work:
I want to plug...

| | Looking for Dual DECT Phone for SIP & PSTN (Not Skype) by
Virgo17
Hello all.
Is there such a thing as a dual DECT phone that has two lines each
terminating in RJ11 or BT type connectors? I would like to plug one
cable in my PAP2 for VOIP and the other in my BT master socket and
control which line to use from the phone.
I am aware of the Skype Dual Phone but one of the cables is USB to a
computer, specifically for computer based applications like Skype and
is...

| | Migrate landline number(s) to VoIP? by
Herman
I've been playing with VoIP and Asterisk for the past week or so. Reading
the postings here has been very helpful, but I am left with a few
questions...
Do I understand corretly that it is possible to migrate a landline number
to VOIP? What I mean is that when someone dials my current landline number
it doesn't go to the landline, but comes in on my VoIP?
If so, is the same possible with a...

| | VoIPTalk.org by
sean
Usually in the UK, if you call PSTN to PSTN, and you are the one being
called, if you hang up, it takes about 10 mins for a far end
disconnect... same with all VoIP companies i have used... But not with
VoIPTalk it seems.
Anyone else noticed this?

| | Unbeatable Voiptalk offer? End of sipgate? by
ballylaxman@googlemail.com
I bought the Evening Standard newspaper yesterday which came with a
booklet called Really Useful Directory. Voiptalk has an offer in there
which i signed up to. You get a free geo number, £2 credit and
voicemail. They advertise "no contract, no line rental, no monthly fee"
so i can only assume that it's completely free.
Sipgate do a free geo number and do not offer support so i can't see
how the...

| | VOIP Dialer and Outlook Integration by
Kev
Hi All,
Are there tools/plug-in's available to integrate with with Outlook that will
allow me to initate a call on my voip handset (I have a Grandstream GXP2000).
e.g. I find my phone number in the address book, and then right-click or
whatever to start the call.
It doesn't need to even integrate with Outlook, even if it was a standalone
dialer which could import my phone numbers, that...

ßødincµs²°°°
Hi lads,
I'm helping out a very kind German bloke that is looking into a problem that
the AVM Fritz!Box Fon has with some POTS phone lines when provided by
cablecos (TW, NTL, etc...).
Due to the fact that these companies have seldom "incorporated" some smaller
local existing providers, their phone exchanges are very diverse, and then
the Fritz!Box has patchy performances when connected to...

Jim
Right the Fritz!box is working perfectly voip fixed line etc.
I am only using one dect handset on Fon1 , when dialling out I am routed via
sipdiscount .
However I now have a slight problem that when I am calling out via voip , if
someone rings me on my pstn number
they dont get a busy tone (obviously because that line is free). Is there
any way to get the fritzbox to give a busy tone because...

| | Port 5060 by
Kev
Hi All,
I just got my shiney new Grandstream GXP2000 hooked up and working with voip.co.uk
and I have to say that it's such an huge improvement over Skype.
I have a question though about port 5060. I'm behind a nat'ed network (Draytek
Vigor 2600plus), do I need to forward port 5060 to the internal ip address
of the handset? I appear to be able to make and receive incoming calls without...
