Hardware setup by PL
My router has only got one ethernet port. If I plug in a separate network switchbox with say 6 ports, and then plug my desktop PC, notebook and 2 ATA's into the switch, is the VoIP side of things likely to work okay? I know I could simply try it, but I was hoping that someone, with a better understand, might be able to identify potential difficulties before I embark on the task? Thanks

Is Sipgate down? by Peter X
Hi all, My PAP2 doesn't seem to be connecting to Sipgate at present, and if I phone my Sipgate number from a mobile, I just get a continuous tone! Is it broken? Or has my ISP cocked something up? (I'm using Metro^D^D^D^DPlusNet so it's entirely possible). The Sipgate portal says my device is offline.

Which of the current free UK calls providers should I give my €10 (or less) to? I'm only after UK calls and would prefer a geographical number.

Asterisk & SPA3000 CLID by Peter Watson
I've finally got * up and running with voip.co.uk and a Sipura SPA-3000 to handle the PSTN and a DECT basestation. Everything is working well except * doesn't seem to pass CLID information to the FXS port on the Sipura, both for calls from 'internal' extensions and calls received from the PSTN and routed onto the FXS port. Incoming PSTN CLID is correctly passed from the FXO port to * and...

SPA-3000 Won't Dial PSTN numbers by muzz
I have setup my new Sipura SPA-3000 with VOIPSTUNT, using the dummies guide on. http://www.grynx.com/projects/voip-for-free-with-the-sipura/ I even copied the dial plan but changed it to (01xx.|xx.:@gw0) Now I reckon this should dial 01 numbers through VOIP and then all others should go through the normal phone line ? I also installed the sipura 3000 system tray monitor to give me a better...

PAP2 Two lines with one phone? by Sam Jones
I've just recently obtained a Linksys PAP2 and would like to know if it's possible to use 2 lines but only one handset. I.e. one line for incoming calls and another for outgoing calls with different providers. If it is possible how do you set it up?

2-in-1 Skype Internet telephone by paul123
Not that I'm a Skypster (or is it Skypester?), but this piece of kit sounds neat. As with anything Skype, USB is essential. http://dualphone.net/Default.aspx?ID=474

France / Paris geographic number by Joao Saraiva
Hi all I was resident in Paris for some time and now in order to make it easy to my friends there to contact me I would like to have a France / Paris geographic number. It seems that in France this is not possible unless you are resident (unlike the UK or the US). Does anyone know how to sort out this ? Thanks for your help ! JS

My voip experience by Mick Tully
I'm new to all this, but I've subscribed to Viop Stunt. I'm using a USB 'phone, in the UK. It's great to be able to call my brother in Malaysia free, and relatives in Ireland likewise. I do get complaints however, about feedback from the other end, i.e. they can hear their voices coming back. What's the best set-up to avoid this?

HELP: How can I use Waitec E-ZI phonebox (USB adapter) w/ Voipstunt ? by Pietro
Somebody knows how I can use my USB adapter ( it connects my handset to USB and to PSTB) with Voipstunt? I tried a software for Voipbuster, but I have troubles with the handlink of the audio: It only works fine if I start my call through the PC speakers and after I switch to USB audio, but i'm not able to start directly from USB audio.

Atcom AT-320 EE by Thomas Kenyon
I have been using the above now for about a week without any problems (except the UI being a bit crap). I am about to order a quantity for an installation I'm about to do, if I order slightly more than I wanted I can get them at a cheaper price. I know this isn't an advertising group and I normally wouldn't do this, but I will only want to sell them on at cost (works out to be £30 +p&p from uk).

Italian number - UK-based SIP account by Linker3000
Is there an Italian version of the (US-based) IPKALL service that will allow me to have an Italian geographic number that diverts to a UK (voip.co.uk) SIP account? I have registered with skypho.net and have a free Rome number but as far as I can see it can only be picked up through my account with them. Thanks
