| | Voipbuster moves the goalposts - again! by
paul123
Just a 2 or 3 weeks ago we were all complaining about voipbuster and
the forthcoming loss of our credit at the end of 180 days........
They've done it again, now the limit is 120 days! I see the limit has
also been reduced to 120 days in voipcheap, sipdiscount etc.
They really know how to treat their customers eh?

| | Calling Sipgate from 3 by
Stuart Millington
I just tried to call my Sipgate number from a 3 mobile and got "the
number you are calling is not compatible with the service you are
using" message.
However, when the signal falls back to 2.5G (on 02) it works fine.
Anyone else seen this?

Fairly new to VOIP using SIP after comming from skype. I had a quick look

more) DID numbers, 1 in the uk and 1 in the USA, under the same account. I

| | playing a sound file while phoning by
Frank Lekens
As far as I know, when you make a phone call with the computer, using
Skype, Voipbuser or another VOIP service, the VOIP application only passes
on the sound input of the microphone.
Suppose that, under Windows XP, I would want to play a sound file that's on
my computer for the person I'm calling. Is this in any way possible -- is
there a VOIP-programme that allows for this? Or is it even...

David M
Hi,
I wish to use a ASterisk@home with TDM2400P
Suppose that I have 4 PSTL Lines and ~10* Voip phones....
1) I suppose, that I need a TDM2400P with 4* FXS ? (I don't need any FXO
modules ?!)
and all the call forwarded to Voip phones, will go through the LAN via the
Ethernet card ? and "reach" the specific Voip phone

| | VoIP service provider advice by
Tony Arnold
I've just become interested in VoIP other than Skype and was amazed by the
number of service providers here in the UK. I was wondering if anyone had
any advice on how to go about selecting the best provider? My use is only
casual at the moment, but I would want to dial non-VoIP numbers. I would
also not want to pay a monthly fee, if I can avoid it. I've signed up
initially with voip.co.uk, but am...

hi, at present I'm still on dial-up, but a radio-based broadband is now

needed with the ISP) and going the voip route.
All the jargon is getting a bit much, could I have some recommendations
for what to get.
I want the broadband to be wireless and I want to be able to plug the
wireless dect phone I have now into the router and...

| | Making calls with voip.co.uk by
NutCracker
Hello all....
I'm still having teething problems with voip.co.uk - it's getting rather
frustrating! Good news on the voicemail side of things the other weekend -
appears to be working well now!
However, since the work on the voicemail, I've been unable to make any calls
that last any longer than about 45-50 seconds. The line goes dead. I'm able to
use the phone again afterwards - however,...

Has anybody managed to get asterisk working reliably with the
SIPDiscount inbound number?
I have got as far as having an extension = myusername in the inbound

tt-weasels message than hangup. Watching the asterisk console, when I
place a call to my inbound number, the call comes into asterisk, runs
through the steps, then comes in...
