001 723 001 200 by {{{{{Welcome}}}}}
Just received a call on my VoIP Stunt number, a number only one person uses to call me on, as everyone else uses my Sipgate number, the number displayed as 001 723 001 200 , there seems to be a digit missing I would have thought, they had an American accent asking me if I had a contract or pay as you go phone. I just put the phone down, I have no time to waste with people like this. Wonder...

Those 0844 numbers and voip rates by DMac
If it is possible to call a UK mobile from a BT phone for 1p / min (with the 5p minimun charge) via an 0844 dialthrough - and assuming the company doing it is making a profit - why are the voip rates to UK mobiles around the 10-15p mark I would have thought with the lowish overheads involved in running voip firms they ought to be able to replicate this rate. Surely any company that offers...

D-Link DSL604+ Problem by Telephoneman
I have 2 voip phones connected, one is a Grandstream (Ethernet), the other a UT Starcomm (wi-fi). They are connected to different Service Providers but I have the same problem - they can both originate calls and I can talk and be heard in both directions but neither will accept incoming calls. Attempts to dial the associated numbers always go to the respective SP's voicemail. I know that the...

ACR - Sipura SPA-3000 by Brian A
Would I be right in saying that ACR has to work via the voip operator or can I set my SPA-3000 to do it? I have tried mucking about with various settings on the SPA-3000 and dialling *77 to no avail. I got 4 'withheld' calls during the night. I have a sick mother so I prefer not to switch off the phone. If it is possible to set it up on the ATA how do I do that? The Sipura Guide hasn't...

VSP with cheap mobile calls and iLBC support? by unobtrusive@gmail.com
hi, As the subject suggests I'm looking for a UK based provider with good rates to UK mobiles and also support for iLBC. Sipgate support iLBC but don't have a good rate to mobiles (14.9ppm, charged per minute). voiptalk has iLBC support too IIRC but 12.5p + VAT isn't very good either. Gossiptel charges 15p/10p/6p but doesn't seem to support iLBC.

SPA-3000 - Connecting to simulated PSTN line by Brian A
I want to use the PSTN connection on my SPA-3000 to connect to a ' door phone' (just a standard phone). I have simulated the line by a 50V d.c. supply connected via a 1k Ohm resistor - I have used this rechnique successfully before to link phones. I have tried to connect to the line, in the dial plan, by:- #00,::@gw0 and also by #00,:xx.:@gw0 Neither work.

I have no ATA and want to be able to connect a regular phone to the router with any regular VOIP company (vonage, sipgate, etc - not skype). how about the router as a whole - is it worth the money? I remember reading on usenet that the earlier models of this had issues with the audio

The VoipBuster empire by paul123
We all know about VoipBuster, SipDiscount, VoipCheap, Netappel, 1899 etc, but I was gobsmacked to see just how many companies/websites they seem to be running! According to this page it would seem that the Finarea/Betamax empire operates more than 60 of these sites (more than a dozen in the UK alone!): http://doulos.wordpress.com/technical-information/finarea/ Paul
