| | How do I call a USB voip phone from my ATA/router/phone combo? by
ChrisR
I would like to call a person with a voip USB phone. They usually use
skype with windows. I have a standard phone connected to a sipura ATA
which is connected to my router. I use this to call people who have no
voip capabilities using the end termination services provided by
www.gafachi.com. I can't see to find a guide on how to do this. Thanks.

| | Sipura with Voipfone by
news
I am using a Sipura 2100 with Voipfone, and most of the time everything
works very well.
However, on coming into the office on three mornings just lately, I
found that there was no dial tone, and the Sipura had apparently locked
up. I had to power it down and up again to restore normal operation.
The ATA has never failed during the day, and I am wondering if it is
something that Voipfone is...

| | How to get extra lines with SPA-3000? by
Joe Harrison
I have an SPA-3000 set up with a DECT base-station in the FXS port and
configured for a Sipgate account. Trouble is although there are two DECT
handsets I can never actually make or receive telephone calls because both
handsets are always randomly hidden around the house - usually under a pile
of teenage junk in kids bedrooms.
Is there any way I can add two extra lines for kids exclusive use so...

| | Accessing Asterisk@home remotly by
Sparks
Okay, here is the situation...
I live in the UK and have setup an asterisk@home server at home.
I am currently in New Zealand visiting family, but have brought my Linksys
PAP2 + a DECT phone and my laptop with me.
I am trying, without much success, to get the PAP2 to connect to my asterisk
box at home so I can receive calls from my BT line here (and make them if I
wish)

| | SIP & Skype by
SidKnee
I am looking for a unit that I can link to my computer / broadband
connection that is capable of being used for Skype as well as FWD (SIP). I

| | Connecting a POTS phone to modem without POTS port. by
Wim
My ISP will soon start offering some Voip service. I want
to try that of course.
My ADSL modem/router has no possibility to connect a phone,
and I prefer not to buy another modem.
I know that there are devices to which I can connect
a POTS phone, and connect that device to my ADSL router
by ethernet. But until now, I am not able to find them.
Can anybody help?

I have been using sipgate for a few months now, haven't had many problems. I
decided to give sipdiscount a go and take advantage of the free UK calls,
but I have been unable to get the test account to work:
User Name: test
Password: test
Domain/Realm: sipdiscount.com

I can't get the VOIPCheap software to create a new user for me. It says I
must have a firewall in the way but I have the required exception in my
firewall settings.
Anyone else having trouble?

| | DrayTel service relaunched by
Alex
DrayTel (not draytek, but loosely linked) have relaunched their voip
service. It seemed naff before, and I signed up for sipgate, but now it
seems very competitive. It has the same pricing structure as sipgate, but if
you buy £20 credit you get put on the 'silver' tariff and then its cheaper
than sipgate (1p/min landlines in uk, australia, usa etc, 10/8/5p uk
mobiles). The features seem...

| | Call forward on SIP phone Q by
Phil Partridge
Don't have one I can try this on, so could someone supply the answer
please?
If you have a SIP-based service from a remote Asterisk server, and set
Call Forward, Always to a mobile (say). Where does the 'forward' take
place?
Are you sending instructions back to the server, which then does the
divert at that end until told otherwise, or does the call actually come
into the phone, and back out...

| | Help with Vigor 2600VG and Plustalk (from Plusnet) by
Jon
Hello All,
Any help appreciated. I recently subscribed to plustalk (my ISPs VoIP
offering) on a 30-day basis to see what it's like and I'm having a few
set up troubles.
My ISP is only prepared to support the use of X-Lite which is a
softphone, however my router has 2 built-on VoIP ports, to which I have
connected a standard landline phone via an adapter.

| | How to make true IP-to-IP call with RT31P2 ? by
peter
How do you make a true IP-call from an RT31P2 to an RT31P2 ? (the
innards are more or less like as Sipura 2100) ?
If both are registered with a provider, is there any way to by-pass the
provider without too much fiddling with the set-up, so as to make a
direct IP-adress:port - IP-adress:port call ? If so, what settings do
you neet to set ? Are "Make call wihout reg" and "Ans call without
reg"...

| | Initiating a call from an application. by
MarkH
Hi,
I wonder if what I want to do is possible - I'm guessing that either
asterix or particular phones may be able to help.
I want my application to initiate a call from a particular phone. What
I'd like is, say, my app to send number to phone (where it could be
displayed on an LCD display) and the call initiated when the user picks
up the handset (or perhaps triggers by pressing a...
