| | Sip Discount & VoIP Buster no longer SIP by
{{{{{Welcome}}}}}
Having now dropped my landline service completely I find that neither SIP
Discount nor VoIP Buster are working with my ATA, they were up until today. I
have tested the services in software and find they will register and work with
IAX but not with SIP, so it appears they have discontinued SIP.

| | Receiving a fax over a SIP trunk by
Sparks
Okay, I have asked this before, somewhere, and I think I got an answer, but
I'm buggered if I can find it anywhere!
I would like to dedicate one SIP trunk as an incoming fax line - how do I
tell Asterisk@home to answer the calls received on this trunk with the fax
machine!?
Ta, and sorry if you have already told me (where!?)

| | Xten X-Lite / X-Pro downloads & upgrades ? by
Martin²
It would appear that Xten is now 'CounterPath' (WTF?) and no longer feature
X-Lite or X-Pro (only for Pocket PC).
Anyone knows where downloads and particularly upgrades may be still
available ?
Regards,
Martin

| | Complete Voip newbie question by
john@coedana.plus.com
Sorry if this seems really dumb and it's possibly been answered
before.
I need only basic Voip facilities and I'm looking at the handsets sold
by Maplin (for example) that just plug into the USB port. I have an
ADSL modem (rather than a router) that's on a 2M connection.
Maplin suggests Skype as a provider and indeed I've looked at that,
but what other options do I have with this simple setup?...

| | Advice on VOIP router by
Alex
I'm currently using a router with an ATA attached to one of its ports. Its
quite bad, no QOS and the router has about died. So its time for a new
router and I want to get one with built in VOIP.
Has anyone any recommendations? I need a 4 port wireless router, for use
with cable so no ADSL ones. The ability for it to be able to give enough QOS
for voice when heavy downloads are going on is...

| | Voipbuster: my credits are being used for calls made to local numbers! by
OM
I topped up my Voipbuster account to 5 Euros to get the free local and
national calls.
I seem to have been charged 0.04 Euros for calls made to local or
national calls.
OK... not a kings ransom... but why am I being charged at all??
I thought the dealw as free calls to local and national??
Anyone had something similar?

| | Asterisk - remote ringback by
Jono
This could be a long one, sorry. The question will be
short, but right down at the bottom
Making use of the instructions on Nerd Vittles & with
a lot of help from chandave on Voxilla, I've setup
Asterisk with a special Sipgate DID number.
If either my wife or I call it on from our mobiles,
it rings & should hang up after a couple of rings. (For
some reason, it's not hanging up in this example...

| | more one-way audio blues with Sipura SPA-3000 by
Chris
Ok, I thought I had my problems with one-way audio sorted, but they've
turned up again. The funny thing is, when I call through Sipgate (Line
1), everything works fine. But when I call through Sipdiscount or 1899
using the gateway accounts, the calls connect fine, but I can't get any
incoming audio. I've been staring at the config pages so long now, I
can't see the wood for the trees...

| | voiptalk as an SPA-3000 gateway setting - tengo problema! by
Brian A
SPA-3000:
I have voipfone as my main provider - Works well.
I have voipbuster on gw4 - Works well.
I've tried setting up vopitalk on gw2. I thought it would be simple
but it doesn't work. When I dial option 901, which is supposed to give
credit balance (of which I have none) it returns:
"You have entered incorrect log-in details too many times."
If I check it out by dialling an 0800 number...

| | asterisk@home and changing Music On Hold by
Sparks
Some time ago I was on hold wen I called a company, during this hold time
they offerd me several options if I wanted to change the music I was
listning to while I was holding (That's neat I thought)...I think it was
Virgin Mobile, if my memory serves me correctly.
Can we do this with AAH easily?
I have had a play, and can sort of do it with digital receptionists, having
seperate queues for...

| | Anyone heard of Bluetalk? by
Peter Pratten
I clicked on an ad for a VoIP service with webcam, headset and account
with Bluetalk. There seamed to be very little detail so I followed a
somewhat hidden link marked terms & conditions. It wasn't that but was
the welcome screen expecting customers who had bought the product and
(still without any details of the product) asked me to register.
Clicking the only link on the page went to...
