Anyone else had these problems?

| | Sipgate and call cut offs. Also Voipbuster...... by
Steve B
Hi all,
I was using Sipgate to call a friend in the USA on Froday night. It was
working fine but the call was cut off repeatedly every minute or so giving
me an engaged type tone. Any ideas what could be the problem?
Another issue I've never resolved is that Voipbuster works fine via the
application but when I use my ATA I always get cut off after 1 minute for
having no credit. I have credit on...

In article ,
says...
I have voipbuster which works well enough and 1899 which also works
well enough. However after reading the Economist article and the very
important comments of the poster, I am concerned that I should sign up
to Skype just to be in on the ground floor. Has anyone else any views
on doing just this?

| | Sipgate works fine, even on Fridays by
Julius
My sipgate report
Continuous usage over this week, even through the wee hours of Friday
night Saturday morning
Quality is good, a few random authentication retries required, but no
more than voipfone had, maybe they are hosted in the same location
I would say they are no worse than anyone else

Joe Harrison
Not changed anything and my settings still all look fine but can't place
outgoing calls.
Been getting "SIP/2.0 403 Forbidden" all morning. Is it working for other
people?

| | Question from Holland: VoipBuster by
me
Hi,
I can't seem to find a good forum in Dutch on this so i try here (if you
don't mind ;-)
I installed voipbuster today on my PC and did some testing with a normal
headset. Everything works fine as far as i can see now.
I did these tests because I want my children to use it and get my phonebills
a little lower ;-(

| | Can you help a newbie, please? by
Claire M
I'm new to all of this so go easy one me :-)
A couple of questions:
Are there any cheap wireless (WiFi) phones available?
If so, would I be able to use one of these with, say, VoipBuster to
make *free* calls to UK landline numbers or does it require some sort
of subscription?

| | FRIZT!box by
Paul Ockenden
Does anyone have a copy of the image file of the English
firmware for the FRITZ!box fon ATA. There's an empty
folder on the AVM website where you'd expect it to be!
Alternatively, does anyone volunteer to translate my config
screens from German to English ... ;-)

| | Sipgate Numbers by
John DH
Tried to sign up with sipgate. The only uk number I can get is an 0845
number, searched their web site, but I can't find any options to change this
number to an 01 or 02 UK number. Is their web site behind the times, or am I
missing something?
Thanks

It is worse than being with a load of school kids, grow up people, act
your age.
Who gives a crap who is involved with what company.
I been in a lot of newsgroups, with some very childish people, but I
think I really got the worse ones in here.
Now for goodness sake get back to what this newsgroup is suppose to be
about.

| | Skype - Brussels to UK by
XXXX???
Hi all,
I've just started using Skype to VOIP from Brussels to UK. I'm using a
supposedly 6Mb cable DSL service and my wife is on a 2Mb broadband
product at home.
Problem is, it's so laggy as to be virtually unusable. Half an hour
using this is 20 mins of "Hello" "Hello" click.
How can I make this work better or is that par for the course with VOIP?

| | VoipBuster accepting SIP connections? by
John Smith
Hi,
I'm trying to configure my Sipura2100 to use VoipBuster - It doesnt seem to
work although the software is fine.
I set stun server to stun.voipbuster.com and resgistrar to
sip.voipbuster.com (tried also voipbuster.com and stun.voipbuster.com) with
my login credentials - no go -
Also how do I go about having a different incoming supplier on this device?
do I need the latest firmware?.
