| | Snom 190 with Sipgate by
Fred
I'm trying to get my Snom 190 to work with sipgate. Everything works ok when
I use X-Lite software phone from my PC. I've configured the phone as per
sipgates instructions and I get a NR for Not Registered on the display.
I tried setting the UPnP on my router off and it started working OK but now
it doesn't work again regardless of whether UPnP on or off.
Any suggestions are appreciated.

| | Semi-noob question... by
ßødincµs
Don't blame me for the question, but I would like to have the NG
opinion about a product I would like to have.
I'm going to buy a Netgear TA-612 (not the Sipgate branded - and
locked!) VoIP adapter and router all-in-one, to connect two VoIP
accounts (Sipgate and Messagenet.it) on a single (or eventually two)
POTS phone(s), and a ethernet wireless switch (to buy later, together
with a laptop...

| | X-Lite With 2 Accounts by
Phil
I have set up 2 accounts on X-Lite. The first is my default proxy and the
second is proxy 1. Is there a way of deciding to use proxy 1 instead of the
default before I make a call?

Anyone got the Grandstream ATA-486 working with VoIPBuster?
I've posted my settings to the VoIPBuster Forum, but no Grandstream user
has replied.
Anyone? So that we can compare settings?
Thanks,
David

| | TA612V problem on Sipgate by
Ivor Jones
A friend has just bought a Netgear TA612V for use with Sipgate and it all
works fine apart from a strange problem that I've never come across
before.
When he plugs a normal wired phone in, using the supplied RJ11-BT adaptor,
the phone rings continuously, although not with a full ring, more a sort
of half ring. I haven't heard it directly so can only describe it as he
did to me over the...

| | X-Lite by
Motorcyclesaur
Hi Everyone,
I wonder if anyone can assist me in fixing a setup problem with X-Lite, as I
believe that something went wrong when I tried to configure it for
multi-proxy use.
The facts:
1. Setup Firewall OK, as instructed by Sipgate Help Pages.

{{{{{Welcome}}}}}
Thus spaketh Al:
I had VoIPBuster working fine using my X-Lite softphone until about 10
days ago. Since then I repeatedly get "Call failed: 486 busy here"
when I try to make an outgoing call. I have read various threads
around here (and checked their website) giving conflicting VoIPBuster
information. In some places I read that they don't now support ANY sip
phones or softphones other...

| | Sipgate down? 06/06/05 by
JGN
Hello all,
Seem to be spending rather more time here than I had imagined, wehn I bought
the phone. Thing is, I have time on my hands as Sipgate seems to be down and
there is no network icon in the BT101 telephone. I have rebooted the router
and still nothing - so it is nice to pass the time of day with you lot :-)
Anybody else having problems tonight? (1900Z)
Best regards,

| | newbie questions - Asterisk & VOIP by
Geoff Winkless
Hi
Firstly, some background...
I have a certain amount of experience in traditional telecoms (I used to
administer an Index PBX in my last job) and TCP/IP networking, plus 10
years commercial experience in Linux and IT in general.
My wife has her own business which now has four people working in one
office. They currently have two external voice lines with DECT handsets

| | savings over BT using voip by
j*
forgive me if this has been asked before
I have 2 BT residential lines, 1 line is used for business calls & has wires
only broadband & the other line is used for residential private calls. What
savings could I expect if I dropped the 2nd line in favour of voip
considering we are reasonably light users? fax to email would be quite
handy, what hardware would you recommned, I would be looking...

| | More than 1 voip provider using 1 telephone by
Chris
Hi
I have a Grandstream 286 adaptor.
Is there any way of setting it up so that, for example
- incoming calls come through using sipgate account
- outgoing calls are made on voipbuster account
This seems possible on x-lite software.

| | Asterisk newbie by
David Floyd
I think it's about time I got my head around asterisk.
Is there a good novices guide about somewhere (I know nothing about
linux). I've been looking on Voxilla and voip-info.org but can't find
anything at a very beginners level :-(
I've got a partially stripped down old PC (PentiumII) which I might be
able to re-use.
Thanks for any suggestions.
