Asterisk AMP & Incoming calls by Peter Watson
I've setup Asterisk on a Linux box that is running pptp (via eth0) to my Speedtouch router. As a result the * box is 'visible' on a proper WAN IP. My IP phones are on a 10.0.0.x network, connected to eth0. I've setup two trunks - Call1899 (via iax) and Sipgate (via sip) and can make outgoing calls via either route. I'm using AMP to set all this up, but I can't get incoming calls (via...

Source for Spanish incoming number? by Lee
Hi I have just signed up for Voipfone here in the UK and would like to see if I can rig up a Spanish incoming number. My mother lives in Spain and runs up some pretty hefty phone bills. Can anyone here recommend the best way of doing this? I am happy to set up a second SIP account with a Spanish provider if necessary but would not know who to choose.

incoming IAX2 to 18866 softphone client ? by Phil Thompson
I'm fiddling with IAX2 as a learning experience. I can make calls to the PSTN with 18866. Is it possible to receive calls from other IAX2 users ? if so what is my "number" is it the number I see it registers with the server ? Can two clients be registered at the same time with the same "number" or is it like IP addresses they have to be unique (I read...

Cheap Reliable VOIP provider Needed by Phil
I am looking at using VOIP. I need a reliable company so I guess from what I've read that rules out Sipgate, I also need a Georaphical number 01723 (scarborough) if possible. All my calls will be to national landline numbers so aren't bothered about rates to mobile's, international or 0870/0845. I already have a 4 port router and would like a cordless VOIP phone if possible. Any...
