Greetings All! I'm very new to all this VOIP stuff so please excuse the "dumb" questions :-) All I'm interested in at the moment is using VOIP to call UK landline numbers. I'm running Windows 98SE, I have an on-board AC97 sound card and a Plantronics headset.

Hi, Is anyone using an ATA or IP phone under AOL Broadband? will it work, I have memories that AOL connections did not use static or dynamic public IP addresses for uses? Is this still correct or am I talking BS? Regards

I've setup Asterisk on a Linux box that is running pptp (via eth0) to my Speedtouch router. As a result the * box is 'visible' on a proper WAN IP. Hi I have just signed up for Voipfone here in the UK and would like to see if I can rig up a Spanish incoming number. My mother lives in Spain and runs up some pretty hefty phone bills. Can anyone here recommend the best way of doing this? I am happy to set up a second SIP account with a Spanish provider if necessary but would not know who to choose.
