| | Caller ID with Sipgate by
Jon
I have been trying to get caller ID to show on my Panasonic KX-TCD515EM
phone with Sipgate and the Netgear TA612V telephone adapter.
Sipgate say the problem will be with my phone! Which I feel is odd as it
works when connected to the BT line, so I am looking for some help & advice
on this and would be interested to know if others have the caller ID working
with Sipgate and or with the...

Helo, i was wondering if anyone could successfully login with a SIP
phone (hardware or software) to any of these sites provided by the
german Betamax service that unfortunatly doesn't have any support
forums
('voipbuster.com' (http://www.voipbuster.com),
'lowratevoip.com' (http://www.lowratevoip.com))
or 'voipdiscount.com' (http://www.lowratevoip.com)
In all it says that .. the users can use SIP...

| | ADSL connection problem / Sky / resolution. by
T i m
Hi All,
In case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation (and sorry if
this has been covered before etc) ..
A mate recently ordered the Sky BB package and when he tried to
connect their router he had no constant ADSL LED.
After he made a few fruitless calls to Sky, I popped round to see if I
could help but in spite of substituting the router for my spare

| | Voipcheap & caller-id (FritzBox) by
Philippe Deleye
I'm using the FritzBox with Voipcheap for outgoing calls
I have registered my landline caller-id (format 003256xxxx) with Voipcheap
client.
This worked for many months now ....
But recently, many - not all - outgoing calls are not coming with the
caller-id presented
Checked with another user in Belgium - he has the same problem.
Anybody else having the same issues ?

| | How to get BT to change 'Disconnect Clear Time' by
Ron Lowe
Hi, all.
We have an Asterisk PABX with TDM400 card, connected to a regular BT
domestic line.
There is an issue with it detecting when the caller has hung up.
This is fairly well documented.
The documented remedy is to have BT increase the 'Disconnect Clear Time' on
your line, from the default 100 to 800.

| | MIL cut-off... by
Herman
We have discovered a "feature" of our setup is to cut-off calls after 1
hour. Anybody able to identify the point in the chain where this is
happening:
FritzBox -- Voxalot -- Voipcheap.com -- OneTel
I am guessing that it is VC.com that would be doing this...

| | Using VOIP as an audio route. by
harrogate3
I have an application where I need to be able to send audio from A to
B about 40 miles apart. There is no audio circuit between the sites
but there is a (fairly) high capacity data circuit.
Does anyone know if there is a simple and inexpensive interface box on
the lines of an ATA that can talk to another box of the same type over
the data circuit usingVOIP-type operation? Ideally I could do with...

| | VoIP @ ASDA by
Graham.
I noticed this big display in an Asda store today
http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/infoweb/asdaskype.jpg
Nice to see VoIP going mainstream, I thought, even if its only Skype.
But take a close look at those rates.

Presumably the same person who thought "how do i use it?"
was acceptable English quoted figures in pounds per minute as pence per...

| | Using GN 9330 USB phone with Vista by
Has anyone managed to get a GN 9330 USB headset working with Vista? Mine
fails on installing a driver named "G" under the "Sound" section in the
"Device Manager". I tried installing the Microsoft hotfix for USB sound
devices, but it didn't help.

| | DeltaThree JOIP by
Wedgieben
I recently purchased a Panasonic Globarange DECT telephone that offers
VOIP free between like phones via the JOIP service. Whilst I wasn't
able to try out the free service between like phones at present I did
sign up for one of their telephone packages that looked good value.
However following my sign up I found that they were charging me double
what they quote on their Call Rate Table. Despite...

You guys were so helpful yesterday that I am back for more!
I have a basic Asterisk installation, 10 x 9133i with a Sangoma A200D with 1
(Dual) FXO module and HW Echo Cancellation.
If I call the BT line (let's say on my mobile) wait for the phones to ring,
then hangup my mobile the phones continue to ring for at least 30 seconds,
then voicemail kicks in and only when voicemail detects...

| | Any current problems with voip.co.uk by
Roger Mills
I can't currently make any outgoing calls using voip.co.uk (and, no, I
haven't run out of credit!) but I can receive incoming calls.
Is anyone else having similar problems?
I'm not sure whether the problem is with the voip service or with my PAP2T -
although I suspect the former! Whenever I dial a number, I get a
oink-oink-oink type noise which increases in frequency and harshness after a...
