Mitel 3300 MX Controller - anyone here use them? by Jon
We've got one of these in my place of work running 2 5207 (might be 5027) IP phones. We had a power cut yesterday and the system has not recovered. There are 3 alarm lights on the controller: minor, major and critical and they are all blinking red. The displays on the handsets is stuck on "DHCP: Discovery" These are not supported by IT anymore as they are no longer used for incoming or...

SipGate & Echo - Need alternative? by elziko
I have been using SipGate or months but have suffered a terrible echo that the other caller seems to hear. The call from my end sounds fine. With these problems SipGate just demand that I fill out a form for every phone call and then write back to me to tell me that their servers were running fine at the time the calls were made. Can anyone suggest a reason for the person calling hearing a...

what capacity from asterisk by blokedownpub
Hi, I've got an idea for a voice messaging system and am trying to get a feel for what would be required to set this up. I'd like to set up a system that can handle say 200 calls at one time where each caller is presented with a menu with the ability to select one of several automated messages. Doing some investigations, it looks like asteisk is the way forward for a low cost solution.

Asterisk help by John Blessing
I want to set up my computer so that it automatically receives calls to e.g. a sipgate number, then does some auto-processing - including (but there may be other stuff I want to do later) saving the message to voicemail, then emailing that voicemail, I believe that you can do this sort of thing with Asterisk, is that correct? I have tried reading the "future of Telephony" book but have to...
