HI, As ex freetalk customer transfered to Vonage my contract period is coming to an end. It is highly unlikely I will renew with Vonage and am looking around for new viop provider. voip.co.uk looking most likely ATM. Looking for suggestion for suitable ATA to attach to Belkin Pre N router with in turn in linked to cable modem. Not interested combined router/ATA solution and as its just for...

Inbound DTMF by Jono
Hello all, Is anyone else having any problems with DTMF on Sipgate? For about a week now, anyone calling my Sipgate PSTN number, when they reach my IVR, pressing any digit yields no response. However, calling my SIP number works fine. I have made no changes to my PBX. Anyone else got a Sipgate number & Asterisk...and an IVR (or Voicemail)...and is willing to test for me?

The Pre-Dial 01635 Number by News Reader
Hi, Can anyone confirm what the dial pattern or dialling rules are for this service? I.e. for example, for a US destination, 1 234 1234567 .... is the prefix 001, 00, 011, etc.? And if dialling a UK destination (e.g. 0845), do you directly dial the 0845

All FWD numbers in ENUM (and even PSTN) by alvoip@kxe.net
Because ENUM resolution under +8781039311 does not work anymore, I decided to take things into my own hands. So I registered the Austrian ENUM number +43 780 393393 and defined all FWD numbers as extensions behind that. The extensions are always 6 digits. 5 digit FWD numbers have to be dialled with a leading zero, and the tree digit special codes have to be dialled with three leading zeros. Thus...

Free Unlimited International Calling - Startel.pt? by News Reader
Hi, Another interesting candidate here... www.startel.pt Appears to be offering unlimited international calling (to 30 destinations), no proprietary / own softphone (they promote X-Lite and hence provide and support full SIP functionality and therefore any SIP soft/hardware).

Internal Transfer Between DECT Handsets by Port Admiral Haynes
I have a SPA3102 I am struggling to get to grips with! Despite caller display problems, which I am working on, I decided to go live with it and plug my house phone system into it. I have 5 NTL VS2000 DECT Handsets scattered around the house. Previously when we had an incoming call via my BT line, that was for someone else we used to press the "hang up" and then shout "it's for yoooo" ! The...

FritzBox Annex B in UK by Herman
Something interesting I just learnt in be.telecom (assuming there is nobody here who knows differently). It was stated that the Annex A/B refers to the style of ADSL. This means that you can use Annex B devices in England so long as you have either a cable modem or separate ADSL modem or router with ethernet port. The reason why this could be interesting to some people here is that the...

Orange Livebox tweaking ? by PhilT
Is it possible to adjust ring cadence, voltages etc on an Orange livebox ? My neighbour's won't ring a 2-line DECT phone although the phone shows it is ringing on the handset. BT landline calls to the 2-line DECT phone work fine. RJ11-BT adaptor with ring capacitor and ADSL microfilter used on Livebox output makes a SWBell phone ring but not the DECT. Phil

Repost: Caller ID Problem On The SAP3120 by Port Admiral Haynes
I have reposted this as I have still not found an answer. Incoming calls to either my VoipTalk VOIP number or my BT PSTN number are not displayed correctly on the caller display of any of the DECT phones I have tried. I have googled and googled and asked Linksys support but not found an answer. Only the first 8 digits are displayed correctly. If I look on the info page of the 3102 the full...

Advice please: VOIP newbie by Ian Richardson
I'm looking to replace our NTL telephone service with a VOIP one using the NTL broadband connection I've got. I guess I could use an analogue telephone adapter (ATA), and use my existing PSTN-based DECT answerphone. I'm using a Linksys WRT54G router flashed with SIP@Home-enabled DD-WRT (so I could then use a SIP-enabled wifi phone for around the house), but as the cost of a standalone ATA...
