| | Voip number "unregistering itself" by
speckled hen
I have the BT talk number programmed into my SPA2102 but it seems to
keep unregistering itself
It does come back as registered sometimes, not sure how it does it.
But most of the time if I access the 2102 it shows that line as being
not registered
any thoughts?
Thanks

I use voip.co.uk for my home phone (have a mobile for backup).
I have two sky boxes - both plugged into the voip line.
The sky boxes are trying to communicate with the SKY server but cannot.
I have raised this with voip.co.uk and had the following advice in
return ....
Please bear in mind that I use a Sipura 1001 ATA -and I'm not techie.

Pete @ www.GymRatZ.co.uk
Does anyone experience "busy" tones first thing in the morning (08:00
onwards) ?
I was trying to phone the local doctors surgery this morning....
wait... it's a relevant factor....
If you haven't tried phoning of late, all the doctors numbers have been
changed to 08444 numbers. There was no-way I could get through using
voipcheap.com but my voipfone account went through without hesitation.

Robert Hill
At work we are going to change our old Samsung analogue
system to a new BT digital system with broadband module.
There will be a button for an VOIP connection but if we use
BT VOIP this will cost apparently £18.99 per month! So, how
does one route a system like this to connect with a free
VOIP provider? On a computer obviously one just downloads
the software and off you go, but in a phone...

I have a Binatone Fusion 2200 DECT Phone plugged into a Linksys PAP2T ATA
and place outgoing calls via VoipDiscount. The people I call say that when I
speak my voice is a little on the quiet side. Is there anything I can do to
increase the volume?
The PAP2T has no user manual with it and I don't want to mess in case I mess
things up!!!

| | Compraison of IAX-capable phones by
Al
Hello,
searching the web hasn't yet brought up much of the kind of information
I am looking for: a comparison of several IAX-capable phones on the
market in terms of price, capabilities, user-friendliness, etc.
Would anybody be aware of a site with such information or possibly know
of a magazine that has published an article to that effect.
TIA!

I have a standard wired phone connected to the ATA which is working
great with Sipgate. The only thing is - if my phone is off the hook but
not actually on a call, callers from BT lines do not hear any tones at
all and number unobtainable message is generated from Virgin mobile.
Is it possible to change any settings so that callers receive an engaged
tone?
If I'm actually on a call then...

| | VoIP - How many outgoing calls possible? by
Richard Moore
Hi,
I have setup a TrixBox (Asterisk) and was wondering how many simultaneous
outgoing calls are possible per SIP trunk?
Would it be 1 outgoing call per SIP trunk, meaning that 4 simultaneous calls
would require 4 trunks (and maybe 4 separate VoIP accounts)?
Or are there VoIP account packages that allow you to place more than 1 call
at a time on a single account?

| | Help - Phone for Orange livebox and BT line by
leenowell@yahoo.co.uk
Hi,
The folks on uk.telecom thought this would be the best group to post
this to....
I have just moved to Orange and have paid the extra £5 to upgrade to
8mb and their VOIP phone service. The trouble is that they can't
give
me a phone number with my STD code so I have an 0845 number. Since
most telecom companies charge a fortune for calling 0845 numbers, I

Ok (see VOIP Calls To me part 1 and 2)
I have now got my system set up so I can dial out with VopDiscount and have
got a local number that people can ring me on (Thank you {{{{{Welcome}}}}} )
I have an unlocked Linksys PAP2T with the latest firmware.
How do I get something to display on caller IDs when I ring via
VoipDiscount. If I do ring "UNAVAILABLE" is displayed.

Pete @ www.GymRatZ.co.uk
Trying to work out a method of having something other than an
"international" or mobile no. caller ID from voipcheap.com and a few
ideas hit me.
Firstly I tried sending a verification text to my voipfone free text
mobile number..... still waiting for it to come through.
Then I thought... Why not send a text to the geo. number on my voip
service... chances are it wouldn't take a text,...

Martin Evans
Is it possible to connect two IP phones within the same premises in
some way so that both can make and receive calls on the same 'line' or
does it require additional equipment such as a mini PABX?
The phones are a Linksys SPA-921 and a Siemens C460 IP if that has any
bearing on the implementation.
