| | Fax to email (and vice versa) by
Theo Markettos
I'm looking for a fax to email service, and possibly an email to fax service
too. Something like:
Geographic UK or US number (it's all international so maybe US is better)
Preferably receive as PDF not TIFF
Outbound costs approaching those of VOIP/dialthroughs (rather than BT's
silly rates as many seem to)
Actually works (I never got fax modems to work, there was always a problem)
Any...

| | Voip and IP Video Conferencing by
jas0n
Hi
Does anyone have a pointer to a forum for ip video conferencing. We are
looking to have some of our meetings that would normally take place by
several members of staff travelling to another office 150 miles away,
stay over, etc and move these regular meetings to a vide based
conference over our existing wan.
Both locations already have dedicated meeting rooms with over head
projectors...

| | A@H/Trixbox - setting extensions to pass an outbound CID to voip.co.uk by
Linker3000
Hi Guys,
Two things I learnt today:
1) voip.co.uk's 'withhold CLID' is broken and will not be fixed until
the next release of their code sometime in December - so if you *think*
you are withholding your CID you'd better check!
2) If I set a legitimate (ie: on our 'allowed list' at voip.co.uk)
outbound CID against our SIP extensions, it doesn't seem to be passed on

Is anyone here using the Delta-Three service? I'd like to learn a bit
about the experience of people who are using it, or have used it
recently, before I jump into it.

I use a linksys spa3000 for a while now without any problems,
but since a couple of days it is impossible for me to make contact with this
ATA with microsoft's web-browser(192.168.1.103)
All funtions of spa3000 are working fine.
I use this spa3000 in combination with a Linksys WRT54G and it is no problem

Can anyone show me the way to solve this problem.

| | Cheap calls wanted by
The Iceman
Which VoIP provider has the cheapest tariff and supports SIP?
I want to make cheap calls at any time of any day.
I use a Safecom SDSIP-3000 phone behind a Netgear DG834v2 ADSL router
firewall with NAT and SPI.
I've got an account with SIPGate, but they're only cheaper than TalkTalk
during the weekday daytime. No use after dark or on weekends.
I've got a VoIPCheap account too, but they don't...

| | BT Broadband Voice - Voyager 10V & Netgear DG834G? by
Fred Finisterre
Hi,
Has anybody got BT Broadband Voice working using the BT Voyager 10V adapter,
and a Netgear DG834G wirless modem/router?
I've lost my installation instructions, so I'm not sure how to cable them
up. I'll persevere if I know it can be done, but maybe these two bits of kit
can't work together?
Thanks,

| | Asterisk/Trixbox Speed Dials and number lookups? by
Sparks
Hi,
Is there a way to program in a lookup table in Asterisk/Trixbox to match
names to numbers?
My DECT phones I have connected to my Trixbox, via ATA's display names and
numbers, via caller ID (If I call from one DECT phone to the other (through
Trixbox) the name of the extension is displayed, so it is getting this via
the caller ID)

| | BT to buy Plusnet by
Sunil Sood
BT today announced it has made a recommended cash offer for PlusNet,
offering 210p per share, valuing the company at approximately £67m.
The offer for PlusNet fits perfectly with BT's strategy of providing its
customers with the most that broadband can deliver. Broadband is
increasingly becoming more than just fast internet access and PlusNet has a
strong reputation for both customer service...

{{{{{Welcome}}}}}
If you have easyMobile bonus credit left, which you will lose unless you
use it up, you can use it up by topping up your VoIPCheap, VoIPStunt,
VoIPBuster, SipDiscount etc accounts, each £5 top up gives you €4.50
(4.5 Euro) credit and 60 days of free days. Make two £5 top ups and
that's €9 and 120 days.

| | BT Digital Access box by
old man
Builders have pulled out the extension line cable, digital side ok.
Its a two wire sys, connection points, marked 2,3,4,5 any one know which
ones to use, as I'm running out of permutations. (Box is not the same as Std
BT type, also its not the main ISDN box, but the one that 'feeds' it)

| | FYI by
Phil Collin
Ofcom today announced plans to improve number portability processes
which allow consumers to keep their telephone number when they switch
provider. In the absence of number portability consumers may be
reluctant to switch provider as they would suffer the inconvenience and
possible expense of having to change their telephone number.
Ofcom is proposing that the port lead time – the period...
