Dial USA 0800 number with VOIP software by ©®
I am using Skype and Sipgate (newbie!). I would like to listen to some semimars on the web. At the moment, I get visual okay bit have to dial an 1-800 number to listen to the audio. I really don't want to be making expensive int'l calls. Can I accomplish this for free with Skype/Sipgate or some other software? Thanks very much.

Trixbox Registration Issues by mattpark
Hi all. Tinkering with my new trixbox setup. All working fine and dandy except 50% of the time, inbound calls go straight to the VoIPfone voicemail number. "The person at extention 30**** is unavailable".... Box keeps unregistering i guess!?

VOIP Stunt question by Databug
I signed up with VOIP stunt because of the free calls. All the locations that I need are free. However I just noticed this 120 days till expiry. I assumed VOIP Stunt worked in a similar way to Skype in that the 120 days start again when you make a chargeable call. If this is not the case and the 120 days expire and your credits go at the end then VOIP stunt would be more expensive than my...

IPKall forwarded to voiptalk.org by paul123
Has anybody got an IPKall number forwarded and working to voiptalk.org? Or is it a "sipgate" situation - ie they (voiptalk) don't accept forwarded sip calls? I've tried putting 1) voiptalk.org, 2) nat.voiptalk.org and 3) nat.voiptalk.org:5065 as the proxy - all to no avail. And yes, I've waited more than an hour for each setting to take effect.

X Lite, X Pro question. by Nick
Maybe I can't see the wood for trees? I've searched the net but can't find a suitable answer, could be I'm not asking the correct buzz words? OK here goes. I have several PC's with installations of either X Lite or X Pro. Having just built a new PC that's mega quick (compared with my others) I want to use it primarily for VoIP use. (Please, no comments on using asterisk etc, it's not what I want)

Speedtouch ST2020 by Rob L.
I've just set up an account with sipgate & treated myself to a Speedtouch 2020 to go with it. I've managed to get everything set up & working OK, but I have one question regarding the ST2020; how on earth do you send DTMF tones during a call? The manual is scant on information to say the least & I can't seem to glean information from the web; I've tried every combination of keys to get it to send...

Sipgate not working for forwarded calls by Red Dave
There's problems with Sipgate accepting forwarded calls, e.g. calls made from a landline to a provider who then SIP-forward the call to your SIP ID at Sipgate. Calls made direct to the Sipgate phone number work (i.e. avoiding the forwarding service). I've spoke to Steve Mancour and they're aware of the problem. No timescale for a resolution :-( RDD

Why doesn't everyone use voipcheap ? by Resident Drunk
Apologies if I am missing something here and I would welcome any corrections. After a bit of searching around it seems like VoipCheap is the cheapest provider for outgoing calls - free all the time (up to 5hrs/week) for landline and 9p/min for mobile. The only downside I can see is that you do not get an incoming number however if I subscribe to a service such as Sipgate which offers a...

Comparison of VoIP rates by paul123
Stumbled across this site recently: http://www.voipproducts.eu/compare-voip/ there are links to comparisons of Betamax services and also of other voip providers. Though not complete lists, they might help a newbie decide on a provider. Granted, the rates are not the only criterium that people might make a decision on. There are always things like reliability and customer service.

SKYPE + VoSKY Call Centre - Call Forwarding Question. by Mark
I hope I did not make the wrong assumption when I decided to SKYPE my house/office up. When I read in the sales blumf, "call forwarding" I was hoping that people ringing me on my landline number, would be transfered to my mobile phone number, relatively seamless. I have enabled call forwarding and set the mobile number, but when somebody rings me, it does not get transfered. Then I read that it...
