| | Trixbox & Voipfone by
RH
Anyone got any advice on a small issue. I need a new phone number which I
can rely on so got a geographic number from Voipfone and patched that into
my home Trixbox system which I am nd have been testing for a while.
I can get it working for inbound and outbound, but what I am finding is that
it appears to fail to keep its registration, after an hour or so if I try
and call it I just get...

| | SkypeIn and Ring Delay (not call forwarding) by
Sean Inglis
HI,
I've just signed up for SkypeIn, and I'm using a Linksys CIT200
handset.
Although the whole setup seems to work reliably, there's a noticeable
delay between someone calling the SkypeIn number, and the first ring
being detected and propogated by the Skype client. I make it that the
caller waits for about 8 - 10 rings before 1 ring is heard at my end.

| | Sipgate & Netgear DHG834G by
I'm Old Greg
I've been on Sipgate for the last 3 months using an Actiontec router, all
working OK. A couple of days ago the router got zapped in power cut/surge or
whatever, I now have the above named netgear router, I've tried the manual
and the Netgear website but can't find how to forward the ports needed for
sipgate, phones ring but no audio. Can anyone explain how it's done, the old
Actiontec was dead...

| | SPA 3000 Config by
Woggle
Hi All,
Just a couple of teething problems I'd welcome your thoughts on.
Have successfully setup SPA3000 on voip.co.uk. Has been working well
for a few months. However, from time to time (it tends to occur more
frequently on a couple of the numbers we call to) the call will
automatically cut off and there is a rather annoying beeping noise.
In addition (but not at the same time), incoming...

| | Locked Vonage broadband router by
Simon
I use a Draytek 2880V & Sipura SPA-3000 for my VoIP now. I used to use
Vonage when it started up.
I have a Linksys Broadband Router with 2 phone ports model #RT31P2-VU
which is locked to Vonage. Vonage never asked for it back & it's been
in the loft for over 12 months now. Is there anything I can do with
this router. i.e unlock it? If not, is it any use at all for anything?

| | [SIP] Multimedia, TV and radio streaming by
kael
Hi,
I'm new to SIP and searching for a SIP multimedia server.
I'd like to store podcasts for example on a remote server and access
them via SIP.
I was also wondering if there would be a way to redirect radio and TV
streams to SIP devices.

| | Internetcalls.com connection issue by
Ciska Hoving
I live abroad and use Skype to call home. I tried Internetcalls.com as they
claim to provide 300 free minutes per week.
My parents phone line is connected to a fax/answering machine and when a
call comes in, it checks if it is a voice call or a fax call. After this
check there is a different ringtone. At this point Internetcalls.com cuts me
off.
I also noticed that as soon as a "normal"...

| | Trust PH-2200 Internet Phone Audio Question by
Ciska Hoving
Hi
I bought the Trust PH-2200 Internet Phone and am using it with Skype. It is
a very good phone, however, when I have the phone connected via USB, no
sound comes from the speakers of my PC. Everything comes through the phone.
Which is a bit annoying when you're trying to play music on the PC!
Is there any way to hear audio from my PC through the PC speakers while
having the phone connected?

| | Sipgate Offline by
PajaP
Hi
Got my PAP2T today.
Took about 10 minutes to get is configured so I can make outgoing
calls using sipgate. Works well and is nice and clear.
I cannot receive any incoming calls (they all go to voicemail). I have
temporarily enabled all ports through the firewall to the PAP box to
check this is not the problem (I will find out how to restrict this
later). I do not use NAT.
On my sipgate home...

Wira One
Received my unit from broadbandbuyer today and spent few hours cracking my
head playing with the dialplan. Anyway, it works as intended and I could
use my landline with voip now. Found few UK specific settings on the net
but wondering why they're varies. I'll stick with the one found in
voxilla for now. The great thing about it is.. no more confusion for the
children and missus. I'm not going to...
